Even though we knew this toy was coming, it is always nice to see an official unveiling of Transformers Movie Trilogy Series Optimus Prime with Trailer before its ceremonious reveal tomorrow at Toy Fair 2012 (did we say we would be there live?). The figure was photographed earlier last month in its glory. The figure combines the original deluxe version from Wal-Mart along with the trailer from TakaraTomy's Optimus Prime Chronicles figure. With this bio establishing itself in Transformers: The Movie events, let's just assume that by "encouraged to spend extended leave," it really means Magnus sent a box of Ratchet's wreckage to Junk and said "Hey, see if you guys can fix this." Counting Wreck-Gar and Scrapheap from my main work over at figurereviews.com, this is my third pass with this mold, and it's pleasantly surprising just how distinct each one has been owing simply to deco changes and unique heads each time around. CONTINUE TO FULL REVIEW The Asahikawa Winter Festival, known for its snow sculptures, takes place every year and shows off many skills in the realm of giant snowmen. This year, there are some snow robots in the mix, with a giant Optimus Prime sculpture, in the shape of the iconic character's trailer with his head on the top. Also available for viewing, although a little smaller, is the Transformers live-action Bumblebee in bust form. The festival is currently taking place and will run until February 16th, so if you are in the area, be sure to stop by. View all the images after the jump. A prototype version of the exclusive character Evac from Transformers: The Ride has surfaced online and providing us a new look at the top of the figure's vehicle mode. Hasbro is developing a figure based on the character that was specifically developed for the Universal Studios ride, which will be the transport whooshing riders, playing as N.E.S.T. recruits, throughout the world of Transformers. The character will get a Deluxe and a Cyberverse Legion treatment when the toy comes out this year. Transformers The Ride is already open for riders at Universal Studios Singapore and will open in May at Universal Studios Hollywood. Thanks to Tformers sponsor Robotkingdom, we have some news and image updates for the Fans Want It FWI-2 Battle Cannons and Arm Blades upgrade for Transformers Dark of the Moon Voyager Ironhide. The images show the figure with the accessories, packaging and on the figure. The WI-2 Battle Cannons and Arm Blades are up for pre-order now with them being available this, month, February 2012 for about $20 USD. Check the images after the jump for more details. Several images from the Nuremberg Toy Fair Magazine courtesy of our friends at NTF Archive are providing first looks at the KRE-O Devastator and the Cyberverse Legion Knockout figure from the Transformers Prime Cyberverse Vehicle Energon Driller with Knockout set. The Devastator set, which is modeled after the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen design, is slated for a September 2012 release. The Energon Driller set will be out in April as part of the first wave along with Star Hammer with Wheeljack set. Just in case you missed the Transformers: The Ride commercial during last night's Super Bowl XLVI (you have to take a bathroom break sometime), the official Transformers Youtube Channel has posted the 30-second spot that aired. The commercial pimps the 3D ride that is opening up in May at Universal Studios Hollywood. Hasbro, Inc. held their earnings call this morning where they announced that their full-year revenues were up 7% to a record of $4.29 billion, compared to $4 billion in 2010. For the full year, the boys category jumped 35%, led by Transformers and Beyblade. The Entertainment and Licensing segment revenues for the full-year were up 19% to $162.2 million, up from $136.5 million in 2010, from Transformers Dark of the Moon and reflects the sale of television programming globally, Hasbro reports. The website, www.PrepareForBattle.com, which has been hosting communiques from General Morshower, will launch this weekend where players can win numerous prizes, including exclusive Transformers art, numbered collectible embroidered badges, and a trip to N.E.S.T. headquarters located in Culver City, CA. Following the opening in Singapore, fans will be looking forwards this opening. There's more than meets the eye to Transformers the Ride that opened last month in Singapore. Hasbro has issued a special edition Optimus Prime with Trailer figure set to commemorate the event. Interviews Nearly four years in the making, Transformers The Ride brings the blockbuster movie franchise, from reel to real, into a blockbuster theme park attraction. Transformers The Ride will make its world premiere at Resorts World Sentosa - Singapore's first integrated resort, home to Universal Studios Singapore, this week! Check out this new video clip with the Mark Woodbury, President of Universal Creative and Terry Coup, SVP Universal Creative, who talk about the genesis of the ride and some of the goals they had for it.
