News Updated: This post has been updated. See full article for more. In the Transformers Prime teaser of Season 2 Episode 15 "Toxicity", an Insecticon appeared to peer into something that was green and smoldering, and in this teaser image, we find out what exactly happens to said Insecticon. Yeah, that thing buries itself in the throat of the Insecticon while others look on. This episode promises to be very epic for the last relic (rhyme not intended) and will feature a battle between Bulkhead and an Insecticon, which, judging from the beginning of the video preview, the former does not far well either. "Toxicity" airs this Saturday on The Hub at 8:30PM Eastern, 5:30PM Pacific. Tformers sponsor Robotkingdom has posted in-package images of Takara Tomy's upcoming Transformers Prime AM-10 Bulkhead, AM-11 Arcee, and EZ-10 Wheeljack with Spaceship. These figures are set for shipment from the retailer at the end of this month. These figures are the same ones from the Hasbro release of Robots In Disguise line here in the states with some varying paint jobs. Continue reading... If our photos of Transformers Prime Cyberverse Commander Ultra Magnus from BotCon 2012 were not enough to satisfy your hunger of this upcoming figure, how do official images work for you? Online retailer Amazon has posted official images of the figure in-package and robot and vehicle modes. The figure is set for a July 2012 release along with Nightwatch Optimus Prime for $8.99 each. Take a look at the Ultra Magnus, fit with a unique mold, in the gallery. Takara Tomy may be busily working on Masterpiece MP-12 Lambor (Sideswipe), but it appears that the toy company is already planning out their next release MP-13. A silhouette of a character with some broad shoulders appeared in a recent edition of an unknown Japanese magazine. It is unknown what exactly this figure is, and depending on how you look at it, it could be a shot of the front, or a shot of the back. Who could it be? Be sure to speculate in the comments! Additional scans posted on a Japanese BBS shows another look at MP-12 Lambor and some Transformers Prime Arms Micron figures. The folks at Planet Iacon have posted some images of the soon to be released Takara Tomy Transformers Prime Arms Micron capsule toys wave 1. Show are the figures in full color in both the robot and alternate modes. These figures look to be really small and thus feature more basic than usual articulation. Get a look at the figures after the jump for more details.
As you may know, Transformers are their own universe over in Japan. More than once, American fans have clashed with some of the cultural mainstays such as the Transformers KISS series. Find the Transformers Prime Extra video that pait up Japanese-Pop (J-Pop) with toy culture. The five videos posted on Youtube are presented by J-pop idol group, Tokyo Girls. They are quire different, and cute, but you'll have to judge for yourself if this is your cup of tea after the jump.
Takara Tomy has unveiled two Optimus Prime exclusive figures as the International Tokyo Toy Show. The figures are Transformers Prime Shining First Edition Optimus Prime and Transformers United Black Optimus Prime. Each are retailing for 5,000 Yen (~$63 USD). The show is taking place June 16-18, 2012 at the Tokyo Big Sight Convention Center. Prime Megatron's design is actually quite nice. There's a clear lineage of modern Megatron designs leading back to the Movies, though I'd lay more of Megatron's aesthetic at the feet of Derrick J. Wyatt. I had a hard time seeing the connection between those two designs anyway, because Wyatt's Megatron doesn't look like an unfortunate accident at a silverware factory. Continue to full review |

Toys UPDATE: This post has been updated with the correct translation. It was incorrectly translated by the source as "Swoop," when it is actually "Swerve," using the Bulkhead mold. Thanks to Snakas who has shared some exciting news. Takara Tomy listed new pre-orders for Transformers Prime Arms Micron class action figures AM-18 Arachnid and AM-17 Swerve that are slated for release in August 2012. The Airachnid deluxe class figure was reported last month. However, news of a Swerve voyager class figure is something totally new. Don't go rushing out to buy those Transformers Prime action figures just yet. Thanks to images posted over at German Transformers fansite NTF-Archive we have a pretty interesting reveal that Transformers Prime will have some new goodies coming our way that are more than meets the eye with a special light-up flowing Energon feature that looks a lot like the old Energon weapons. Check out the image for more details after the jump. Takara Tomy have updated their official Transformers sithe with announcement for a new retailer incentive campaign called "Arm Micron." The incentives will be focused on the Transformers Prime cartoon and action figure series that will be coming to Japan. Much like previous campaigns, Takara Tomy have coordinated with various retailers around Japan offer the "Arm Micron" figures as free gifts to those who shop for Transformers products. When we just got out of the BotCon 2011 Hasbro Brand Team panel, we were treated to our first look at the San Diego Comic-Con 2011 Transformers Prime Matrix of Leadership Optimus Prime. The display includes the packaging, complete with a neck strap. The premium box is also on display. Take a look at the shots after the break! Live at BotCon 2011, we were able to visit the rather bare Transformers Prime toy display. The shelves were predominantly empty with Bumblee and Arcee in- and out-of-package. We also get looks at Starscream, but zero packaging in sight. Hopefully throughout the next couple of days, we will get some good news on upcoming Transformers Prime figures. If we do, we will bring you the news as soon as we hear it! Until then, take a look at the shots in the gallery.[ More Toys ] |

In Transformers Prime season 2 episode 14 Triage, Ratchet and Wheeljack are dispatched to retrieve a relic. Things would probably have gone well, but Soundwave shows up. We have seen glimpses throughout the series of how much of a badass that Soundwave could be, but this time, we get a tease of how a fight between Wheeljack and Soundwave would turn out. According to this preview, Soundwave: 1, Wheeljack: 0. The newest Transformers Prime commercial for the toyline is out, and oddly enough, it feels like it shows more from the cartoon than the toy. The commercial interlaces "Transformers [toys] like you've never seen before," with poses and some of the features, but also focuses a lot on the show itself. This video only focuses on the Autobots in the line, so be sure there will be another one for the Decepticons. In Transformers Prime season 2 episode 13 Triangulation, Optimus Prime will be holding his own in Antarctica. In this promo clip, Dreadwing and Optimus both demand the release of the relic to the other, forcing a stand-off between the parties. Why is Starscream in chains? Why is Optimus alone? Watch this Saturday on The Hub at 8:30PM Eastern/5:30PM Pacific.[ More Videos ] |
