Even though we knew this toy was coming, it is always nice to see an official unveiling of Transformers Movie Trilogy Series Optimus Prime with Trailer before its ceremonious reveal tomorrow at Toy Fair 2012 (did we say we would be there live?). The figure was photographed earlier last month in its glory. The figure combines the original deluxe version from Wal-Mart along with the trailer from TakaraTomy's Optimus Prime Chronicles figure. After several days of rumblings through the fan community regarding an increase of fraud tied with credit cards used to make a purchase at the Transformers Collectors Club, Fun Publications has released a statement offering assurances that your information is safe on their end. Several members of the community have posted on various Transformers fan site forums stating that their credit card information was compromised after using the specific credit card to renew membership or purchase merchandise from Transformers Collectors Club or BotCon website or store. Just in case you have not heard, Toy Fair 2012 begins this weekend, and to continue our annual tradition, we will be on-hand to cover Hasbro's Media Day on Saturday afternoon. The guys at Radio Free Cybertron will be broadcasting LIVE and following the news as it comes out of Toy Fair, so you can follow our liveblog and their live broadcast as well! After the jump, we will breakdown what we expect to see at Toy Fair this weekend.



Continuing the countdown of Toy Fair 2012 this weekend, where Hasbro will showcase their toys for the entire year, the official Transformers Facebook page is doing an official unveiling of the Transformers Prime Cyberverse Vehicle Energon Driller with Knockout set. The figure is a vehicle platform where a Legion class Knockout figure will interact with the set. This will be released in the same assortment with Star Hammer with Wheeljack figure in April 2012. To help announce that High Moon Studios and Activision Publishing would be stopping by Hasbro, Inc.'s Toy Fair 2012 Media Day on Saturday, the Official Transformers Facebook page has posted a piece of concept art of Bruticus from the Transformers Fall of Cybertron vidoe game. This is on the heels of the news that Hasbro would release the Combaticons that will form Bruticus as part of the limited toyline celebrating the video game...Continue reading....



UPDATE: We have added a hi-res image of the Shockwave HISS Tank. Buried deep in the announcement of their upcoming GI Joe Retaliation toyline, Hasbro Inc reveals that they will be offering Shockwave HISS Tank as a San Diego Comic Con exclusive. Continuing the practice from last year when the company offered the extremely popular GI Joe Transformers Starscream Sky Striker and Cobra Commander, the company is offering the GI Joe Pursuit of Cobra HISS Tank with Shockwave's trademark purple color, complete with a large Decepticon insignia emblazoned on either side of the tank as well as the nose. We've got word that the writer and artist behind the G1 comic revivial from IDW, Transformers ReGeneration One, Simon Furman and Andrew Wildman will be appearing at the London SuperCon February 25th - 26th, 2012. Simon will have his own table where you can get stuff signed and buy copies of scripts etc. Andrew will be at the IDW stand on Saturday towards the end of the day. Both will be joining the IDW panel. Thanks to the kind fans at FMH who have posted a report on the Transformers display at the Toy Fair 2012 event going on in the UK this week. Highlights include news on new products coming to the Generations line that is to include 8 new figures. The Transformers Prime Weponizers with Leader class figures that feature 4-modes of play and more. Then there is this new thing they call Optimus Maximus. A transforming figure who's alternate mode is a base for your Cyberverse figures. Check out more details after the jump.



Fun Publications has released a preliminary schedule for BotCon 2012, and it is indeed that. Posted on the convention website, the schedule only details the pre-convention events, customization classes, and the opening and closing times for the show days. Based on the the Revenge of The Fallen Bludgeon mold this figure has been repainted and a new remolded head has been added to recreate what vaguely looks like the Overlord character from the Last Stand of The Wreckers' comics series. Remember way back when Fun Publications teased that the Shattered Glass Ultra Magnus from the BotCon 2012 Invasion set has a "surprise in store"? After yesterday's reveal of the figure, we noticed that the head looked very different from the original Reveal the Shield Optimus Prime head design, and a close-up shot of the head shows that the figure's head is translucent plastic. The design now resembles a clear crystal head sporting the traditional Prime helmet. Take a look at the close-up shot after the jump.

The BotCon group have sent out an email to members letting them know the BotCon 2012 teaser page is now online exposing the Reveal the Shield Optimus Prime figure. They are planning another fun-filled show that they will once again be filled with amazing guests, plenty of awesome official toy exclusives, seminars, panels and of course, you, the fans, from all over the world! No dates or times have been revealed yet. Check out the full update after the jump for more details.


We are pleased to announce SLAG-A-CON 2012 will be held at Millcreek Civic Center in Chesterfield, Indiana on October 13, 2012. Fun Publications has announced that they are releasing a limited number of tickets for purchase by the general public to the BotCon 2011 Hall of Fame Event. The event is taking place on the night of Saturday, June 4, 2011. Tickets are $45 each and are available for purchase at the portable box office at the Pasadena Convention Center on Saturday, June 4th, from 9 AM to 5 PM. Read more...


Fun Publications has opened up registration for BotCon 2011 and has also announced prices for the Friday night dinner and the Hall of Fame ceremony. As a refresher, the Primus Package is now $385 for non-members (which gets you the boxed set, the attendee only figure and the full 4-day pass), while TFCC members only pay $315 (a $70 discount).
